Relativity, a global legal technology company, and Cellebrite (Nasdaq: CLBT), a leader in digital investigative solutions, have announced a strategic partnership. This collaboration aims to deliver state-of-the-art mobile device collection, processing, and review solutions, significantly enhancing the management of mobile evidence for legal use cases by improving efficiency through streamlined workflows and enhancing accessibility and usability.
The partnership’s focus is the development of a RelativityOne and Cellebrite Remote Mobile Collection and Conversion integration. This makes Relativity the only eDiscovery provider with direct integrations with Cellebrite Endpoint Inspector and Cellebrite Endpoint Mobile Now. Additionally, Cellebrite will be the sole mobile collection provider to integrate natively with RelativityOne Collect, allowing customers to initiate and manage remote mobile device collections from Collect and automatically transfer the collected data to RelativityOne for review and analysis.
Cellebrite’s conversion capabilities will enable mobile data to be accurately converted from Cellebrite’s proprietary UFD file format to Relativity Short Message Format (RSMF) upon collection, simplifying the user experience and ensuring the most accurate and up-to-date processing solution for these short message file types. Phil Saunders, CEO of Relativity, emphasized that mobile data is increasingly vital in legal cases, making this partnership a natural progression to keep their customers current with evolving data types.
Yossi Carmil, CEO of Cellebrite, stated that the collaboration would revolutionize investigations, offering unprecedented access to critical information, underscoring the growing demand for collaborative solutions, and emphasizing the legal industry’s adaptation to new data types. Historically, Relativity and Cellebrite have enabled innovations like the RSMF conversion with Cellebrite Physical Analyzer in 2019 and a direct integration with RelativityOne and Cellebrite Legal View in 2023.
To drive further innovation, the two organizations are committed to continuous education for customers on mobile data collection and have established an advisory board for consistent customer feedback. An advanced access program for the Remote Mobile Collection and Conversion integration will launch in the U.S. this month with general availability expected in fall 2024.
