Telefónica Tech Partners with IBM to Advance AI, Analytics & Data Management Solutions
Telefónica Tech and IBM have announced a collaboration agreement to enhance the deployment of Artificial Intelligence (AI), analytics, and data governance solutions. This agreement focuses on addressing the dynamic needs of enterprises within Spain, helping customers manage new technologies in complex environments efficiently.
The partnership will leverage IBM’s watsonx AI and Data platform, facilitating the development and deployment of an open hybrid and multicloud platform. This initiative aims to accelerate business initiatives, develop MVPs, and provide resources for training and certifications.
The collaboration already offers generative AI solutions that include code generation, process automation, and cognitive assistants in various sectors. The agreement builds on the strong history between both companies, exemplified by previous projects like TROS and optimized supply chain management solutions.
A notable development is the launch of SHARK.X, an innovative platform hosted at Telefónica Tech’s La Cabina facility. This platform will integrate IBM technologies such as Cloud Pak for Data, Cognos, and Planning Analytics, addressing AI and data governance needs comprehensively.
Elena Gil Lizasoain, Director of AI and Data at Telefónica Tech, and Adolfo Hernández Pulido, Technology Managing Director for Telefónica at IBM, emphasized the commitment of both companies to drive digital transformation and the successful deployment of AI solutions in the business landscape.
